Hill has been a staple of Pat Narduzzi's defense over his four-year career, and especially so over the previous two seasons. He has accumulated 172 tackles, intercepted three passes, and defended 12 over his four-season career.
His exit comes as a decision of a return teeters for fellow starting safety Erick Hallett II. The next safeties in line for the Panthers appear to be Florida transfer and Peters Township native Donovan McMillon, as well as returning Panthers Javon McIntyre and P.J. O'Brien.
