We are ... ramping up the Penn State coverage.
Please join us in welcoming Cory Giger, longtime reporter/columnist at the Altoona Mirror, a daily voice on Altoona radio and most recently of Nittany Sports Now, to our team!
Cory's no stranger to anyone who follows the football program. He's been on the beat since 2006. And in fact, we'd heard from readers for years who'd hoped he'd eventually wind up with us. Well, that day's arrived. He'll bring all his years of background and inside information and, of course, all his opinions in both written and multimedia forms as we look to expand our footprint on both fronts with Penn State faithful far and wide.
Jarrod Prugar will remain part of this, as well. He recently went full-time with us -- we just hadn't announced it until this very second -- and he'll carry duties of all kinds at all levels of our operation. So bringing Cory aboard helps to make that load more manageable.
We'll need your support on this. We hear all the time from college fans how badly they want the coverage, but getting the numbers to match is always a chore. In the very near future, we'll be setting up programs to gain support for both our Penn State and Pitt coverage, with a goal of keeping both viable permanently.
Here's Cory's own introduction.
And I'll be in comments below, as always, if there are any questions.
