But yeah, that was Kenny Pickett behind center on the Superdome turf in New Orleans for Philadelphia's final few snaps at the Super Bowl, and that was Pickett celebrating under the confetti there with his teammates after doing his part -- however much or little that entailed -- as the Eagles prevailed over the Chiefs, 40-22, for another Vince Lombardi trophy.
This became, as one might expect, something of a meme on the local social media scene overnight, with most poking fun at Pickett over some perception over how far he's fallen.
Has he, though?
He won the ACC championship at Pitt, carrying that program to peculiar heights. He was a Heisman Trophy finalist. He was the first quarterback taken in the NFL Draft. He soon was the starter for the Steelers in the same city.
That's not exactly a life that's lacking much.
Sure, he was rash in demanding out of Pittsburgh after last season, but it's not as if he'd be proven wrong in sensing that he wasn't about to be the guy here. He wasn't. So his worst-case scenario became that ... uh, he'd be traded to the best football team on the planet? And then be fitted for another ring? And, along the way, learn from Jalen Hurts and other winners on how to grow as a player and person?
Anyone can laugh all they want, but be sure to seek his autograph. It just gained a little value.

OK, so he was the backup, and this was a blowout.
