Rutger McGroarty's short-handed goal was Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's lone goal in a 3-1 loss to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms tonight in Allentown, Pa.
McGroarty's goal was his 14th of the year, assisted by Sam Poulin. It tied the game midway through the period as Chase Stillman was serving a double-minor for high-sticking. The Phantoms regained the lead in the second with a power-play goal, then scored an empty-netter.
Filip Larsson took the loss with 23 saves on 25 shots.
