Jose Negron, born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and raised in Pittsburgh, covers the Pirates and Major League Baseball for DK Pittsburgh Sports.  

Jose graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a degree in Journalism. Prior to joining DK Pittsburgh Sports, he worked for the Mon Valley Independent Newspaper for over seven years, covering local news as a staff writer before transitioning into a role in the sports department as the assistant sports editor.  

Jose resides in Belle Vernon with his wife, Briana, and their dog, Benny. His hobbies include playing video games, rewatching episodes of The Office and New Girl, traveling to his wife’s latest bucket list destination and adding to his always growing collection of sports memorabilia.
