RICHMOND, Va. -- Bob Moose's no-hitter against the Mets in 1969 was the third in franchise history, and the highlight of the right-hander's best statistical season as a pro, a campaign he finished with a 14-3 record.

Moose spent his entire career in Pittsburgh, and was a member of five NL East champion teams, including the World Series-winning Pirates squad of 1971. Perhaps unfairly, he's probably best known for throwing a wild pitch to the Reds' George Foster in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 5 that cost the Bucs the 1972 NLCS.
