Survey Says: Penguins players' least favorite foods taken in Downtown (Penguins)

TAYLOR HAASE / DKPS

Oysters in Halifax from the Penguins' preseason trip in October.

We've reached the last of the Survey Says features I built up over the course of the season.

This one was a little related to the previous one, in which we found out what Penguins players' favorite foods are. For this one, I wanted to know what foods they're picky eaters about and won't eat. Some pretty funny (and some weird) picks in here.

Here's how Penguins players (and some now-former Penguins players) answered:

Kris Letang: I don't like sandwiches. Cold sandwiches. I like warm sandwiches but I don't like them that much.

John Ludvig: Olives. I won't eat olives. I hate olives. Tastes like sweat.

Tristan Jarry: Olives.

Jesse Puljujarvi: I don't really have one. I can eat a lot and I can eat everything.

P.O Joseph: Raw mushrooms. But I really love cooked mushrooms, which makes no sense.

Joona Koppanen: Any kind of mushrooms.

Jansen Harkins: Onions. Raw and cooked, nothing.

Jack St. Ivany: Olives.

Ryan Shea: I don't eat sushi. And I've never had coffee. I'm a very picky eater, those are the two I get the most crap for. (Me: Even like, cooked sushi? You won't eat a California roll?) No, never tried it.

Michael Bunting: I used to be a picky eater, but I've kind of expanded. I'll pretty much eat everything. But I don't like tomatoes. No tomatoes.

Emil Bemstrom: Probably eel.

Sam Poulin: I'm not really picky, honestly. It'd have to be something from a different culture that I don't know, I don't have anything in mind.

Jonathan Gruden: Tomatoes. I love salsa, I love ketchup. But tomato chunks? On a sandwich or anything? The juice grosses me out.

Reilly Smith: Pickles. All pickles.

Radim Zohorna: Yeah, it's some Czech food I wouldn't eat. But nothing here.

Erik Karlsson: I would say Chinese food, I've just never been into it.

Valtteri Puustinen: I don't like fish so much. I can try it, I eat salmon. But that's all the fish I eat.

Magnus Hellberg: I'm not that picky. If you cook it well, I can eat a lot of stuff.

Colin White: Oh, there's a good amount. Too many to list. But some seafood I don't like, raw fish I'm not a fan of. Things like that.

Drew O'Connor: I'll pretty much try anything.

Marcus Pettersson: I used to not like some forms of seafood, but I've grown to like that. If you would have asked me four, five years ago, I would have said oysters. I could never get my head around trying that, but I think it's pretty good now when you have vinegar and everything. But I'd say these ground beef patties my mom used to make when I was a kid.

Noel Acciari: I struggle with oysters, just the texture.

Lars Eller: Nothing, really.

Chad Ruhwedel: Mushrooms, raw or cooked. And I can't stand blue cheese, goat cheese, most soft cheeses. I like feta. But blue cheese and goat cheese? Absolutely not.

Jake Guentzel: Pork. Pork chops. I just never really got into it.

Ryan Graves: I don't like cilantro. They say there's two types of people -- some say it tastes good, and then some say it tastes like soap. I think it's disgusting.

Rickard Rakell: I don't like lamb. Or truffles.

Sidney Crosby: I like all food (grins).

Alex Nedeljkovic: Eggplant parmesan.

Bryan Rust: I'll eat anything.
