RICHMOND, Va. -- How about a little love for the most exciting team in town over the last week, those Duquesne Dukes, experiencing a moment unlike anything they've seen in more than a quarter-century?
There was a time, believe it or not, when the Dukes were perennial challengers for the top team in college hoops, reaching the promised land for the only time in 1955 as champions of the then-prestigious NIT. With a big thanks to Robert Healy (yes, that Robert Healy) for his invaluable knowledge of Duquesne sports, and for helping me make sure I got the uniform matchup right!
