One of the most valuable things a team can have in late December, especially one that's fighting for their playoff lives, is a clean bill of health.
While the Steelers aren't completely void of injury, they are far more healthy than their opposition heading into their Week 17 road matchup against the Ravens.
Only Tre Norwood has been ruled out of Sunday night's game in Baltimore due to the hamstring injury he suffered in last week's win over the Raiders. Norwood did not practice at all this week.
As of Friday, Myles Jack (groin) and Larry Ogunjobi (toe) are officially questionable to play, though the former might be more at risk. Ogunjobi only practiced in a limited capacity on Friday, but his workload during the week has been consistently limited throughout the season as he's battled numerous injuries all season. Yet, he has played in all but one game this season.
Saturday afternoon, the Steelers upgraded Ogunjobi to having no injury designation and is expected to play Sunday night.
Jack has also been playing through multiple injuries, but he's been significantly more affected by them. And a groin injury is one of the most difficult injuries for anyone to overcome.
Everyone else on the Steelers' injury report, including Diontae Johnson (hip) and Terrell Edmunds (hamstring), are cleared to play. Edmunds missed last week's game due to his hamstring injury.
As far as Baltimore's side of things, Lamar Jackson will miss Sunday night's game as he has not practiced since spraining the PCL ligament in his knee in Week 13. John Harbaugh told reporters Friday that it's a "fair assumption" that Tyler Huntley will once again start at quarterback for the Ravens, and that became official when he was ruled out Friday afternoon.
In addition, the Ravens ruled out cornerback Marcus Peters with a calf injury, which is a noteworthy loss for the Baltimore defense. Marlon Humphrey is the shutdown corner for the Ravens, but Peters is a nice complement. In the first Steelers-Ravens matchup this season, Peters had four tackles and one pass defended.
The Ravens also listed defensive end Calais Campbell (knee), tight end Nick Boyle (illness) and safety Geno Stone (hamstring) as questionable. Campbell blocked a Chris Boswell field goal in the Steelers' 16-14 loss to the Ravens in Week 14.
