Kedon Slovis.

Former Pitt quarterback Kedon Slovis officially has a new home.

On Saturday, he tweeted his commitment and has signed to play at BYU, making the Provo, Utah, school his third in three seasons:

Slovis officially became a Pitt Panther just over a calendar year ago, on Dec. 21, 2021, after starting his career at Southern California. In his lone season at Pitt, Slovis completed 58.4% of his passes for 2,397 yards with 10 touchdowns, nine interceptions, and a career-low 127.1 rating in 11 games. He missed Week 3 at Western Michigan due to concussion symptoms he sustained from a hit he took at the end of the first half against Tennessee the week prior.

Slovis has one year of eligibility remaining. BYU wrapped up its 2022 season on a four-game winning streak and defeated Southern Methodist 24-23 in the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 17. That four-game streak included wins at Boise State and Stanford. BYU also topped No. 9 Baylor in a 26-20 double overtime thriller in Week 2 on Sept. 10.

It's a quasi-full-circle moment for Slovis, who notably once-upon-a-time ripped the "weird place" of Provo and the hecklers from his time at USC. The Trojans played at BYU in 2019, and Slovis appeared on the "MOMENTUM TRUCK" podcast on June 3, 2021 to talk about the experience:

""

"Provo is a weird place," Slovis said. "You ever see 'The Truman Show?' We go in and people are like smiling and saying, โ€˜Thank you for coming to play.โ€™ I was like, 'what?' Usually they heckle you, and there were people at the stadium who waiting there with shower-bag goodies for after your game. And I'm like, 'what?' and theyโ€™re like, โ€˜I hope you enjoy it. Good luck to you guysโ€™ and I'm like, 'what?'โ€

He continued: โ€œTheyโ€™re all Mormon, right? So theyโ€™re not drinking. So, like, 95% of the place is not drinking. I think thatโ€™s almost more intimidating because youโ€™re going in there and usually if kids are heckling you or people are heckling you, youโ€™re like โ€˜alright, theyโ€™re just drunk.โ€™ Every person in that stadium is sober heckling you. So when they're heckling at you or they say stuff, theyโ€™re, like, not cussing. Theyโ€™re like, โ€˜Slovis, you stink!โ€™ And they're like, right behind your bench. And in the back of your mind, you're like, 'this dude's sober, and he's actively not cussing out, but he's just heckling our entire sideline.' And they're ruthless. But, in the back of your mind, you're like, 'they're not even being drunk and stupid. They're genuinely heckling you for the sake of heckling you.'"

Welcome to Provo, Truman, I suppose.
