Jimmy Clark III enjoyed one of the great moments that all basketball players dream about Saturday afternoon.
End of game.
Ball in hand.
Take the shot.
Boom!
Game!
Clark's 3-pointer at the buzzer gave Duquesne a thrilling 78-77 victory over Ball State at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. The Dukes won their sixth straight game and improved to 7-1, already giving them more wins than they had all last season during a 6-24 campaign.
Here's a look at the improbable, off-balance 3 that Clark fired off from the left wing, with the ball going through the hoop just as time expired.

Duquesne grabbed a 75-74 lead on two free throws by Dae Dae Grant with 22 seconds to go.
Ball State's Jaylin Sellers hit a jumper on the other end with 12 seconds left, was fouled by Tevin Brewer and sank the free-throw for a 77-75 lead.
You can see here how those 12 seconds played out, with Clark getting the ball on the left wing, trying to do something while being well defended, then having to let go of the shot while fading to his right.

Amazingly enough, Clark also hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to end the first half, pulling Duquesne within 40-36. The Dukes had fallen behind 7-0 to start the game, and were down 18-4 with 8 minutes left in the half.
Duquesne kept battling back, though, and the game came down to the wire before the thrilling finish.
Clark led Duquesne with a career-high 16 points. And here's some great notes from college basketball insider Jeff Goodman:
Duquesneβs Jimmy Clark III, who hit a 3-point buzzer beater to beat Ball State, was coming off his first scoreless game of season. Clark was 4-19 from deep entering game.

Clark was 4-8 from 3 today, first time he made more than one in a game. Finished with a career-high 16 pts.
Brewer had 14 points and Grant 11 for Duquesne.
The Dukes had a great day shooting the 3, hitting 11 off 22 shots, including, of course, the one that mattered most at the buzzer.
Duquesne's next game is Thursday against Marshall at Cooper Fieldhouse, with a 7 p.m. tipoff.
