Penguins forward Jason Zucker and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton defenseman Mitch Reinke are John Scott Cup champions.

Zucker and Reinke's Team TRIA defeated Teddy Blueger's Team Tradition by a score of 8-5 in the Da Beauty League championship game on Wednesday night in Minnesota.

Zucker and Reinke were both scoreless in the win, while Blueger recorded two assists in his team's loss.

Da Beauty League, established in 2015, is a Minnesota-based summer league that allows professional and college players to have fun and raise money for local charities while getting in some game action in the offseason. Six teams play an 10-game regular season schedule and a two-game postseason schedule, competing for the John Scott Cup. The trophy is named for former enforcer and 2016 NHL All-Star John Scott, who the league calls its "quasi-commissioner."

The trophy is a silver keg:

In addition to Zucker, Reinke and Blueger, Penguins players and prospects who participated in the league this season included Jake Guentzel, newly-acquired forward Ryan Poehling and forward prospect Tristan Broz. Guentzel's Team BIC was eliminated from the playoffs of the semifinal round by Zucker and Reinke's Team TRIA.

Guentzel finished the regular season as the league's leading scorer with 37 points in eight games. His 19 goals ranked second in the league behind Vinni Lettieri.

Blueger's nine points in two games led the league in postseason scoring, and his four goals tied for the league-lead in the playoffs.

Blueger took part in the first fight ever in Da Beauty League's history in Monday's semifinal round, dropping the gloves with Lettieri when Lettieri took exception to Blueger's four goals and three assists to run up the score in a 12-3 game.

Guentzel on Monday was named to the "All-Beauty Team,"  while Blueger was named league MVP:
