Keith Dambrot extended an offer to Bryce James, son of NBA megastar LeBron James, per his Instagram story Monday.

A sophomore in high school, the younger James received his first NCAA Division I offer just days after returning from playing a three-game series in Europe alongside a couple of his Sierra Canyon High School teammates, as well as other former NBA players' sons.

Dambrot's connection to the James family stems back 25 years to when he coached LeBron's high school team, St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio for a few years before coaching college hoops at the University of Akron.

The LeBron-Dukes connection doesn't end there however. One of LeBron's high school teammates, Dru Joyce, was recently hired by Dambrot as the assistant head coach under Dambrot.

The Dukes' staff and the James family paths have crossed many times before, so could the Bryce James offer be the chapter of their story?

Bryce is listed on his recruit profile as 6-2, however recent social media posts have shown that he is now taller than his older brother, Bronny James, who stands at 6-5, and inching closer to his dad's height at 6-8.

Bryce is seen nationwide as a potential prospect for the 2026 NBA Draft, showing that many expect him to be a one-and-done type player in the college scene. NBA Draftroom describes him as "a very skilled outside shooter with a soft touch and near perfect form, Bryce is a big wing with a high skill level and a quickly improving game."
