On Sunday, Pitt lost a member of the 2023 class, when cornerback Shelton Lewis decommitted from the Panthers. Pitt now has 12 known commitments in the class, including offensive linemen Colin Van Rooy and Ryan Carretta, who Pitt landed earlier Sunday.
The 5'11" 180-pound Lewis oiginally committed to Pitt on June 4. The Stockbridge, Georgia native is a three-star recruit and ranked as one of the top 100 players in the state.

Pitt had two corners visit this weekend, three-star Jesse Anderson and three-star Jaremiah Anglin, who could quickly take Lewis' spot.
