ALTOONA, Pa. -- Senior safety Ji'Ayir Brown announced Tuesday that he will return to Penn State for another season, which will be his third with the Nittany Lions after beginning his career at Lackawanna Community College.

Brown made his Penn State debut in 2020, appearing in all nine games and making six tackles. He has been a big factor on defense this season, leading the Lions with four interceptions while ranking third with 67 tackles (56 solo) to go along.

Brown was all over the place at times, recovering two fumbles, forcing another breaking up five passes.

"After sitting down and exploring all my options about my future with my family, I am confident with my decision to remain at Penn State alongside my brothers for another year," Brown wrote. "I look forward to learning, growing and developing more as a player, a student and a man."

Brown hasn't really been on the radar with regards to the NFL draft, projecting as an undrafted free agent. However, the 5-foot-11, 205-pounder could help his draft stock immensely if he enjoys a big season in 2022.

"We have work to do. Let's get to it," Brown wrote.

FRAZIER SIGNS WITH
ORLANDO MAGIC

Former Penn State basketball standout Tim Frazier is back in the NBA, signing a 10-day contract with the Orlando Magic on Tuesday.

The NBA has a slew of players out because of COVID, and the Magic are missing five such players. Teams around the league have been signing players to help fill out rosters, and Frazier landed a spot thanks to his experience and reputation in the league.

Frazier has played in the NBA since 2014 and has appeared in 277 career games, averaging 5.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.3 rebounds. He appeared in five games for the Memphis Grizzlies last season, averaging 1.6 points in 12.4 minutes.

Frazier is a good defender, proven floor leader and respected teammate, all reasons why the 31-year-old keeps getting opportunities in the NBA when teams need some roster help.
