ALTOONA, Pa. -- All five starters scored in double digits as Robert Morris rolled to its first victory of the season, a 99-51 drubbing of Division III Lancaster Bible College.
While the Raiders aren't quite Division I, a win is a win and one was desperately needed for the Colonials who moved to 1-7 on the season Wednesday night.
Sophomore Kam Ferris paced Robert Morris with a career-high 27 points against Lancaster Bible College while senior forward Kahliel Spear notched a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Spier wasn't the only Colonial with a double-double as fifth-year guard Rasheem Dunn had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
"Our guys came out and did a nice job of having really good activity as well as sharing the basketball," Robert Morris head coach Andrew Toole said. "That led to some simple plays and some simple shots. We were mature enough to try and not overcomplicate things. Everybody contributed and made plays, and it was nice to be able to win the game."
The Colonials shot a lights-out 66.1 percent from the field against the Raiders including making 12 three pointers.
