Defenseman Taylor Fedun has been named the 20th captain in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton franchise history, head coach J.D. Forrest announced on Friday.
Fedun, 33, was signed to a one-year, two-way contract with Pittsburgh this offseason after spending the last three years in the Stars organization.
Fedun, who will be playing in his 10th professional season this year, has previously been an alternate captain for the AHL's Rochester Americans, Utica Comets, and Oklahoma City Barons. He wore the 'C' in college in his final year at Princeton.
The Penguins on Friday also named forwards Jordy Bellerive and Michael Chaput, as well as defenseman Matt Bartkowski alternate captains.

Wilkes-Barre opens the 2021-22 season on Saturday when thy host the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
