Heinz Field.

Pitt Athletics released its plans to accommodate fans to attend its Blue and Gold Spring Game at Heinz Field on Saturday, April 24, at 1 p.m.

It will be the Panthers' first Blue and Gold Game since 2019, after not being able to host a spring game last year and not being able to open up attendance to fans during the 2020 season.

Pitt plans to host a maximum of 5,000 fans for the spring game, with all attendees to be required to wear masks and follow Heinz Field COVID-19 protocols. Seating will be spaced out in the lower bowl of Heinz Field with fans sitting in their own socially distant pods where between two to six people can sit.

Tickets are free to fans and will be digital. First priority to tickets began Wednesday, being available Panther Club members, Pitt football season ticket holders and Pitt Varsity Letter Club members. If any tickets are still available, general public requests for tickets begin Tuesday, April 20, at 10 a.m. For parking and concession information, click here.

Pitt also announced that football tickets for the 2021 season are now on sale

The spring game will be Pat Narduzzi's chance to evaluate new talent after Pitt pushed the game back a week to recoup three missed practices due to a weeklong COVID-19 quarantine that disrupted the spring schedule.

Several position battles have been noted to be of interest for Narduzzi, and will be on display during the spring game, including offensive tackle, linebacker, cornerback, safety, and especially backup quarterback. Sophomores Davis Beville and Joey Yellen missed out on a full offseason to prepare last season, so this will be a major opportunity for either quarterback to establish pole position for summer training camp battles before the season begins.
