Roethlisberger, McDonald serve up huge helpings to community taken in Hagerstown, Md. (Steelers)

In today's society, professional athletes get plenty of heat for a variety of things. The amount of money they make, contract negotiations or even labor disputes between the union and the owners. All of it makes athletes come off a selfish and self-centered.

But that isn't always the case.

Almost every professional sports organization gives back to their respective communities in one way or another, and the Steelers would certainly fall into that category. Even during the coronavirus pandemic, the Steelers have been helping the Pittsburgh community as best as they physically can.

Most recently was a food drive which supported the local United Way, and who was leading the way?

Ben Roethlisberger and Vance McDonald, along with their families.

The Steelers recently paired up with Trucks of Hope, which packages and provides food for those in need. Trucks drop off the food, and they are then packaged and sent out to those in need in Western Pennsylvania. Check out some of the videos and pictures from the event.
