Although the short-term future of the Penguins and the rest of the NHL is uncertain, coronavirus can't take away some of the glorious moments from the franchise's past.
AT&T SportsNet has announced plans to air a variety of "classic" Penguins content, including four games -- not coincidentally, all Penguins victories -- from their seven-game showdown with Detroit in the 2009 Stanley Cup final.
The Penguins won the third of the franchise's five Cups that spring, including a dramatic 2-1 victory in Game 7 at Joe Louis Arena.
Their heroes in that game include Max Talbot, who scored both of their goals, and Marc-Andre Fleury, who made a title-saving save as regulation was about to expire and the Red Wings were trying desperately to force overtime.
The schedule for those game broadcasts:
Game 3 -- March 30.
Game 4 -- April 1.
Game 6 -- April 8.
Game 7 -- April 10.
All game presentations are scheduled to being at 7 p.m.
In addition to those games, AT&T SportsNet plans to feature a variety of Penguins-related features in its programmings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, beginning today at 7 p.m.
