Sean Davis is going home.
Wednesday, the Steelers' 2016 second-round pick Davis signed a one-year deal with the Redskins worth up to $5 million, per Adam Schefter.

Davis attended Maret School in Washington, D.C., before going to college at the University of Maryland in College Park, Md. Now, after four years with the Steelers, he's heading back to the nation's capital.
With the Steelers, Davis started nine games as a rookie in 2016 before starting all 16 in 2017 and 15 in 2018. In 2019, however, Davis battled through injuries during the offseason and suffered a shoulder injury in the Steelers' Week 2 loss to the Seahawks that landed him on injured reserve and, in turn, ended his career with the Steelers.
That injury prompted the Steelers to seek help at safety, resulting in the trade of a first- and fifth-round pick in 2020 and a sixth-round pick in 2021 to the Dolphins for Minkah Fitzpatrick.
As a pro, Davis had his most productive year to date in 2017, posting three interceptions, eight passes defended, a forced fumble, a sack and 92 tackles (71 solo). In his four-year career, he has five interceptions, 20 passes defended, a forced fumble, 2.5 sacks and 247 tackles (190 solo).
While many felt Davis could potentially return to the Steelers and provide depth behind Fitzpatrick and Terrell Edmunds at safety, the team will now need to explore its options. Jordan Dangerfield is a restricted free agent and may not return, while Marcus Allen is set to make $750,000 with the team in 2020.
