The Antonio Brown story took a turn Thursday, as Brown's agent Drew Rosenhaus has conditionally dropped the former Steelers receiver from his client sheet.
Per Adam Schefter, Rosenhaus informed the NFLPA of his decision in a letter stating that he "would like to work with Brown, but not until he first gets help."
This, while huge, comes as no real surprise.
Since being traded to the Raiders from the Steelers in exchange for a third- and fifth-round draft pick before the start of the 2019 season, Brown's life has produced a series of headlines — and not one has been too positive.
The Raiders suspended Brown for a public quarrel with GM Mike Mayock, then the Patriots scooped him up soon after. Brown appeared in one game for the Patriots, catching four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown, before being released again, this time in the wake of sexual assault allegations.
Brown did work out for the Saints just before the 2019-20 playoffs kicked off, but that went nowhere, and Brown called it a publicity stunt.
And that's the short version of Brown's career just on the football side of things.
Elsewhere, he's launched a rap career, he's posted several disputes with police at his South Florida home and, most recently, he streamed a feud with the mother of his three youngest children, Chelsie Kyriss, on his Instagram. That spat occurred in front of his children and involved Brown tossing a bag of phallic-shaped gummies.
“She’s here to take the kids to school, not no vehicle,” Brown yells at an officer in the video. “This b—- is broke, she don’t drive Bentleys. You see this, sir? That’s a f—— Bentley. This b—- is broke, with two other kids. That b—- got nothing. She don’t have no Bentley. She’s staying at a hotel. Ask her where she’s staying! Ask her!”
Most recently, Brown has also been tied to a boxing match with YouTube celebrity Logan Paul with streaming service DAZN reportedly showing interest.
Rosenhaus, however, has seen enough for now. It's on Brown to make a change.
