It's just November, but Marc-Andre Fleury already has his entry for the save of the year.
In the Golden Knights' game against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, Fleury dove across the crease to make this glove save on Nic Petan as Vegas was clinging to a one-goal lead late in the third period:
"It was fun," Fleury said of the save. "A little lucky because I didn't stop the first one because it hit the crossbar. It's good when you get those second saves to redeem yourself. It was a lot of fun.
"You just enjoy it. You get up, have a little smile. You're just happy that it didn't go in. I think as a goalie those are the saves that make you feel like when you're a player and score a goal. Those are the saves I love to play for."
Fleury made 31 saves in the Golden Knights' 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs. The win was Fleury's 450th career win, making him the seventh goaltender in NHL history to reach the mark.
"Like I've said many times before, I've been fortunate to play on some good teams," Fleury said of the milestone. "It's a lot of fun for me to win those games. A lot of fun to win, more than to lose them. Hopefully we can keep it up."
The save was No. 1 on Sportscenter's Top 10 for the day, followed by this ridiculous goal from the Nailers' Brandon Hawkins at No. 2.
