Patric Hornqvist left the Penguins' game early after being hit by a Kris Letang shot with 12 minutes remaining in the first period.
Hornqvist immediately, but slowly, skated to the bench after being hit, not putting much weight on one of his legs. He sat on the bench for several minutes hunched over, speaking to trainer Chris Stewart, before limping down the tunnel.
The Penguins entered the game with only 11 forwards dressed, so Hornqvist's injury knocked them down to 10 forwards.
Hornqvist returned to the bench with 1:53 remaining in the first period and skated a few laps, appearing to be okay, but did not take a shift and did not return for the start of the second period.
Mike Sullivan did not have an update on Hornqvist after the game, saying he was still being evaluated for a lower-body injury. We'll presumably get an update at practice on Wednesday at 12 p.m..
