Bell doesn't 'really agree' with AB's helmet dispute taken at Highmark Stadium (Steelers)

Le'Veon Bell is weighing in on the latest Antonio Brown drama.

The helmet drama, to be specific.

Brown finally practiced in full with a certified helmet for the first time on Tuesday. He had previously been M.I.A. from practices after an arbitrator ruled against his grievance with the NFL to wear a non-certified helmet.

Bell, ironically, isn't a fan of the holdout.

“As a skill player, it’s kind of hard to change your helmet, especially when you’ve been playing so long with it,” Bell told Newsday's Bob Glauber. “I understand where he’s coming from, but at the same time, it’s a rule, so you have to change the helmet.

“I changed my helmet my second year, and I’ve been playing with a certain helmet my whole career,” he said. “It was hard to do, but I knew this was coming eventually, so I might as well change my helmet now. Him fighting for it, him not showing up for practice, I don’t really agree with that.”

Bell, of course, missed the entire 2018 season due to a dispute of a different nature. Bell's looking forward to his fresh start with the Jets, which is already going much better than Brown's fresh start.

“I just wanted to have a new start, and I haven’t had any problems,” Bell said. “There have been a lot of dings going on with the Raiders, his feet, his helmet. I don’t know everything that’s going on, but I see what’s on TV, what the articles are saying.”
