Chris Kunitz retired from professional hockey on Tuesday after 15 NHL seasons and four Stanley Cup championships.

Here's a look back at some highlights over his nine years with the Penguins.

FEBRUARY 27, 2009: First goal as a Penguin

The Penguins acquired Kunitz and Eric Tangradi from the Ducks on Feb. 26, 2009, in exchange for Ryan Whitney. Kunitz was in the lineup the following night, and scored a goal in a 5-4 overtime win over the Blackhawks:

JANUARY 5, 2011: First Penguins hat trick

The Penguins won big over the Lightning, 8-1, in their first game following the Winter Classic loss to Washington. Kunitz scored the second hat trick of his career and his first as a member of the Penguins:

FEBRUARY 3, 2013: Four goals in Washington

Kunitz was the No. 1 star in a 6-3 win over the Capitals for his four-goal night. Kunitz scored the opening goal of the game, two goals in the second period, and another in the final seconds of the game:

MARCH 10, 2013: Sock monkey hat trick

It's always great when a player scores a hat trick on a giveaway night. Kunitz managed to do that against the Islanders on a sock monkey giveaway night, and thousands of the stuffed animals rained down from the seats:

MAY 4, 2013: Game 3 overtime winner

The Penguins entered the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. In the opening round matchup against the Islanders, the series was split 1-1 after the first two games in Pittsburgh. Kunitz scored the game-winning goal in overtime of Game 3 to take the series lead:

MAY 25, 2017: Double overtime winner

One of Kunitz's final highlights as a Penguin was without a doubt his best. Kunitz scored the series-clinching goal in double overtime of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final to send the Penguins to the Stanley Cup Final for the second consecutive year:

Kunitz finished his Penguins career with 169 goals and 219 assists in 569 regular season games.
