Bill Hutchinson is back, and he's ready to put on a show for his hometown crowd.
Aug. 1 at the Monroeville Convention Center, Hutchinson takes on Charlie Serrano (16-4-2) in a main-event lightweight showdown at Pinnacle Boxing Championships.
A Pitt law student and graduate of Montour High School, Hutchinson, 30, is 17-2 as a pro, and he's riding a seven-fight winning streak, including three knockouts, dating back to November of 2016.
Now, he says, it's his time to shine.
I caught up with Hutchinson at South Side Boxing ahead of his main-event showdown, talking about his journey to the Aug. 1 main event, his way-too-short amateur career, the first time he realized he had knockout power, his love for the city of Pittsburgh and much more.
