Not long after throwing some shade at the Steelers for the quality of their facilities compared to his new home in Los Angeles, Najee Harris had more criticism for his former team.
In an interview with KCAL News, Harris talked about is four years in Pittsburgh. While he said he learned a lot regarding what it takes to play in the NFL and the detail that has to go into it, he had some words for the offensive state of the team after Ben Roethlisberger retired and the offensive line had to be rebuilt.
"We just didn't know anything on offense, really," Harris said. "We didn't have any identity. We had a young guy coming in at quarterback, I was young, the team was young. I really didn't have nobody to learn from on the offensive side. The veteran guy on that team was a two- or three-year vet. He's still learning himself. I'm coming in and I'm just trying to look for people to pick their brain, but it was just defensive guys. I would go to the defensive guys and talk to them, but there wouldn't be too much they could tell me about offensive things. Through my years, I learned a lot that only I learned firsthand. I feel like here, we've got a lot of veterans that I can learn even more stuff from, even at the quarterback position and O-line position. It was interesting years there, I'll just say that."
