Mike Tomlin is more than excited about acquiring DK Metcalf.
"DK is an awesome talent, one that we're familiar with," Tomlin said today at the NFL annual meeting. "We've seen him some. But equally, man, he's an awesome guy, and I've enjoyed getting to know him, his relationship with the game, his approach to work. He's going to be a big time asset to us, not only in terms of the tangible things that he brings, but there's an awesome intangible quality to him as a worker and as a man that's equally as exciting."
There have been some concerns on the outside about Metcalf's game being too similar to George Pickens and the way he plays. Tomlin doesn't see it that way.
"I don't necessarily view them as similar, to be quite honest with you," Tomlin said. "They’re both downfield capable, but they're different people. I mean, DK is a big man, G.P. is tall. There's a difference."
