The Pitt men's basketball team continues to add to its roster, as former Oregon State guard Damarco Minor and former South Alabama forward Barry Dunning Jr. have reportedly committed to play for Jeff Capel and the Panthers.
A 6-foot guard, Minor averaged 9.8 points, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game for the Beavers this past season. He joins the likes of Brandin Cummings, Nojus Indrusaitis and Omari Witherspoon as guard options on Pitt's current roster.
Dunning is a 6-foot-6 wing who earned a First-Team All-Sun Belt selection this season. He started in 31 games and led the team with 1050 minutes played while averaging 15.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. He was a double-digit scorer 25 times, including 16 times in conference play. His most notable achievement came in a game against Texas State on Feb. 22. On that night, he went 9 for 12 from three-point range and a perfect 11 for 11 from the free-throw line en route to scoring 46 points, a mark that tied a 51-year-old South Alabama program record. It was the second-highest point total in Sun Belt conference history.
