Sophomore guard Jaland Lowe was named NABC Second Team Mid Atlantic All-District as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon. The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division I.
Lowe led the Panthers in scoring (16.8 ppg.), assists (169), steals (55), double-doubles (5), and free throw percentage (.886) this season, while becoming just the third player in program history to average at least 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game in a season. He scored in double figures 26 times, including 10 games with 20 or more points scored. Lowe, a third team All-ACC selection, has totaled 836 points and 278 assists in 64 career games (50 starts) and is one of just two players in program history with at least 300 points and 100 assists in each of his first two seasons in the program.
