• Well, I take that back about getting Ferguson multiple innings of work. Here comes Bednar.

• Suwinski almost beats out an infield single after Casas bobbled it at first. Will say Crochet has been on his game today. Really no bad at-bats from him, he's been efficient and is getting guys to swing over stuff in and around the zone.
• Just like that Ferguson gets out of the inning by getting Casas to ground into an inning-ending double play.

• Keller utilizes a cutter to strike out Sogard, that's his fourth of the evening.
• Bart grounds out to Bregman at third. That's twice the Pirates have stranded runners at second and third today.
• Pham and Hayes both advance on a double steal. Bart almost takes Hayes out on the next pitch as he fouls one off down the third base line.
• Pham thought he had a walk there ... twice. He took a step toward first after back-to-back pitches in a 3-0 and 3-1 count. He then gets his walk on the next pitch.
• The slider has been Crochet's punch out pitch and Reynolds swings over the top of that one for the second out of the third.
• Hayes shortens up on a 1-2 pitch and knocks it the other way. There was a big hole on the right side and he took advantage.
• Davis swings over an inside sinker for the first out. After giving up two hits in the first inning, Crochet has been cruised through the bottom half of the order.
• It's a high infield pop up for Campbell right to Triolo near the mound. We head to the third.
