• Winn walks and that's going to be it for Keller after 7 1/3 innings. Nice ovation for him as he exits. He deserved better. Caleb Ferguson will take over with one out and two on. Nootbaar will greet him. 

• Saggese singles over the glove of a leaping Frazier at second.

• Two pitchers up and throwing in the Pirates' bullpen. Dennis Santana is one of them. Can't tell who the other is. A lefty for sure. 

• With his strikeout of Pagés in the seventh, Keller collected his 700th MLB strikeout. Per the Elias Sports Bureau, Keller is the fastest pitcher in club history to reach 700 strikeouts with Pittsburgh by innings pitched (718 1/3). The previous record was held by Bob Veale, who took 740 innings to reach it. He's also the third-fastest pitcher in team history to reach 700 strikeouts by games (136), behind only Gerrit Cole (123) and Veale (135).

• Pirates hitters didn't strike out at all through the first five innings. Now four strikeouts over the last two innings.

• Phil Maton to pitch the seventh for St. Louis after Fedde held the Pirates hitless over six strong innings.

• Suwinski is the first Pirates hitter to strike out today. Cheng swipes second on the play, so they have their first runner in scoring position. First big-league steal for Cheng. 

• Cheng reaches on an error by Arenado at third. Yet another leadoff baserunner.

• And that's six strong for Keller. Gets Contreras swinging to end the top of the sixth. Should keep going, too. Only at 66 pitches through six. Incredibly effective. It's a shame this offense isn't capable of providing sufficient support.

• And that's why Hayes has a Gold Glove. Didn't need the glove there, though, as he barehands a chopper off the bat of Winn and retires him with a strong throw to first. 

• Fedde has yet to allow a hit, but the four walks have surely played a role in his high pitch count. Sitting at 74 through five.

• Frazier flies out to shallow left-center field. Hayes got a really nice jump there. Think he might have had that bag stolen if Frazier doesn't fly out. Pirates haven't had a runner reach second.

• Keller retires Saggese 5-3. He's set down 10 in a row. He's at 53 pitches -- 37 strikes -- through five innings.
