Minor-league report: Indianapolis splits doubleheader
The Thursday results through the system:
INDIANAPOLIS (1-2) beat Iowa, 7-6: RHP Bubba Chandler struggled with his control, walking three batters but also struck out four across 2 2/3 innings pitched. 2B Nick Yorke went 2-4 with two doubles and a run scored. DH DJ Stewart, RF Nick Solak, and LF Matt Gorski all hit home runs as the Indians won in extra innings.
INDIANAPOLIS (1-3) lost to Iowa, 6-1. RHP Braxton Ashcraft allowed two earned runs on eight hits and a walk, striking out five over five innings pitched. Yorke went 1-3 with an RBI double and a walk.
