The Pirates are recalling ChaseShugart from Class AAA Indianapolis and are placing EndyRodriguez (finger) on the injured list, per source.
Rodriguez received four stitches on his right index finger after taking a ball to the hand early in Monday's game against the Nationals.
Shugart threw 3 2/3 scoreless innings during his first stint with the big-league club. He was optioned to Indy when Henry Davis was recalled on Saturday.
