ALTOONA (0-2) lost to Chesapeake, 2-0. RHP Wilber Dotel pitched five shutout innings, allowing just two hits while striking out four. He needed just 53 pitches to get through his start, 41 went for strikes. 2B Mitch Jebb, 3B Shawn Ross, and 1B Brenden Dixon picked up the only three hits on the night for the Curve.
GREENSBORO (2-0) beat Asheville, 13-2. RHP Garrett McMillan picked up eight strikeouts over five one-run innings and got the win. 3B Javier Rivas finished a triple short of the cycle, going 3-5 with a double, home run, and three RBI. 2B Maikol Escotto went 3-4 with three runs and two RBI. 1B Omar Alfonzo went 1-4 with two runs, a home run, and a walk.
BRADENTON (1-1) lost to Daytona, 7-3. LF Braylon Bishop went 1-2 with a two-run home run and two walks. 2B Yordany De Los Santos hit a RBI double and went 1-4. CF Will Taylor went 2-4 with a double. RHP Carlos Castillo allowed one unearned run in four innings, walking a hitter and striking out another.
