• Very quiet clubhouse. Not a ton of guys still in here. Bailey Falter did take accountability for that six-run fifth. Said that “can’t happen” after the team took the lead in the fourth.
• DerekShelton on Falter's fifth: “It looked like he lost command. Running off. The fastball started to run up. For four innings, he did a really good job of executing pitches. He gave up the Wells ground ball that was perfectly placed in the first, right between two guys. Then it just looked like he lost his command a little bit. You honestly don’t see very many left-handers hit the ball right inside the foul pole that didn’t hook.”
• Colin Holderman was sent out to pitch the fifth today to “find him a spot maybe earlier in the game to get him going," Shelton said. Holderman said that wasn't a surprise. He was given the heads up to be ready and said he had plenty of time to prepare himself.
