Anthony Murphy was born in Hawaii to military parents, and was raised in Virginia for the majority of his life. He writes about the Pirates’ minor leagues for DK Pittsburgh Sports.

He is also the owner and lead writer for Bucs on Deck Substack, a site dedicated to the Pirates’ organization with an emphasis on the minors.

Prior to DK Pittsburgh Sports and Bucs on Deck, Anthony was a writer on Pirates Prospects, as well as other online publications. When he isn’t following the Pirates system, you can usually catch him at a Fred Nats game, or even occasionally fishing and watching college football during the fall.
