Kovacevic: Why does our wonderful weather make people so ... mad? taken in Downtown (Live Qs)

DEJAN KOVACEVIC / DKPS

Historic Mellon Square in full fountain bloom this weekend, Downtown.

Oh, we'll get to sports ... but I'll put forth the first Q of the day in asking this: Why does our wonderful weather -- and it's been this way for a few years now, thanks to climate change -- make so many people so bleeping angry?

Seriously, I can't even bring this up without some serious venom thrown back my way, and it's really weird.

I mean, it's common sense that, as meteorological patterns morph all over the world, some regions suffer and others benefit. Some, like those in Florida, Texas and California, are getting scorched, even burning to the ground. And here, it's now like San Diego from February to November, basically. Sure, we'll still get our rain, but anyone with expertise will attest that's a positive. Overall, though it's been perfect, to my mind.

We're like an oasis in there for what they classify as "comfortable."

Sorry, but this is what life's like here now:

I don't care what the perception is. I definitely don't care what the perception was. This is about our city in the now, when it's ridiculously routine to still hear people talking about Pittsburgh and snow in the same sentence ... as if we still get bleeping snow! As if the count wasn't a total of 10 inches -- very little of it laid -- in the past calendar year! And I happen to love snow and miss it!

Why are they mad? Is it that it's better here than where they are? Is it that they moved somewhere thinking they'd have better weather only to be boarding up their windows every August now? Is it that we also don't have earthquakes, wildfires, hurricanes or really any other natural disasters?

Anyway, I'm ready for whatever you've got. Bring it.

To remind regarding the format:

• I'll answer the first 25 questions that don't repeat and that don't seek #$%^@ predictions. If I were Nostradamus, I'd already be making a killing in another line of work.

• Enter only one question.

• Above all, please don't use this like an ordinary commenting thread. Meaning don't answer or respond to questions that you don't ask. It'll only add to an already lengthy process on this end. If you've asked the original question, by all means, feel free to follow up.

Thanks for reading and for participating!

And for listening, of course:
