Each week, our football staff at DK Pittsburgh Sports predicts the Steelers' result, along with sharing a few related thoughts.

Chris Halicke (0-1): The depth on the defensive line softens the massive blow of losing T.J. Watt to injury. If the defense can limit New England's running game, they should have similar success to what the Dolphins enjoyed last week. I still don't think the offense is about to break out. But, even in an underwhelming performance last week, Mitch Trubisky took care of the football. In fact, he's done that in every game in a Steelers uniform thus far. He has yet to throw an interception in three exhibitions and one regular season game. I expect him to do that again, and that -- coupled with a strong performance on defense -- should be enough to win.
I may have lost last week, but I was right in my prediction for the Steelers to at least cover the spread. They're 3-point underdogs this week ... somehow. Steelers, 20-16
Ramon Foster (0-1): It'll be a little tight because the Patriots lost bad last weekend in Miami, and they'll adjust. Unless the Steelers knock Mac Jones out. And with him having a back injury, that might happen. I also think we'll see the offense get going a little, too. And the defense is still really good without T.J. Steelers, 24-17
Matt Williamson (0-1): This looks like a slow paced, grind it out game from both teams that will be won in the margins. Expect both coaches to play it close to the vest. Hidden yardage like penalties and special teams will be critical. But in the end, the home team & the team with the better roster prevails. Steelers, 17-16
Eddie Provident (1-0): New England has question marks all over their roster. And with Jones banged up, this could get ugly if Cam Heyward & Co. do anything close to what they did against Cincinnati. I expect that to happen and I expect to see a more polished version of Trubisky to lead this offense more efficiently. Steelers, 27-10
Dejan Kovacevic (0-1): On one hand, I see Steelers by 10. On the other, I'm really queasy about it. It's definitely not because of the defense. They'll get to Jones, and they'll get good results, including a takeaway or two. It's the offense. It's ... you know, let's see something. Put the ball in the playmakers' hands. Steelers, 27-17
