• ABOUT US: We encourage you to learn about our site's pioneering history, how on July 23, 2014, we became the first company of its kind in North America, and how we've inspired similar ventures across the continent and even overseas. We built this thing the old-fashioned way, with our own hands and hard work. It's been amazing to see what we started, even more amazing that we're better than ever in our 10th year!
• OUR COVERAGE: We commit to covering the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates year-round, everything they do, everywhere they go, every game, every practice, every function involving all three of Pittsburgh's major-league teams. We also report on Pitt football, Penn State football, plus basketball and other programs at those schools, as well as Duquesne and Robert Morris.
• OUR PLATFORMS: We've got a website, DKPittsburghSports.com, that's available on all browsers and all devices. We also have a free, state-of-the-art custom app, available for both Apple and Android.
• ABOUT ME: I write columns here, meaning opinion, and I record podcasts, and I do both based off my own reporting, getting around to 250-plus games/events a year. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, I've covered sports here since my teens, first for the Post-Gazette, then for the Tribune-Review, before breaking off on my own with this venture in 2014. Won a bunch of awards, did five Olympics, blah, blah. Enough about me.
• OUR FULL-TIME STAFF: I cover the Steelers, along with Corey Crisan and Chris Halicke. Taylor Haase and I are on the Penguins. Alex Stumpf and I are on the Pirates. Crisan's on Pitt, as well.
• OUR CONTRIBUTORS: Cory Giger covers Penn State and other colleges. Former Steelers guard Ramon Foster writes and podcasts football for us. Former NFL scout Matt Williamson handles our football breakdowns. Rob Ullman's our illustrator. Bob Maddamma manages our Hot Button news wire.
• OUR MULTIMEDIA: Every weekday morning on our DKPS Podcast Network, including Apple and Spotify, and on our YouTube channel, I do three Daily Shot shows, one each on Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. We've also got the daily Ramon Foster Show and Williamson's Scout's Eye in both audio and video forms. Along the way, our staff's crafting podcasts on all the teams we cover.
• OUR ENGAGEMENT: Our slogan's long been 'Coverage That Connects,' so we're proud to have subscribers in 150-plus countries, and we're even more proud to engage with them everywhere, including in our one-of-a-kind comments section, where passionate fans discuss and debate their teams in a moderated, civil, politics-free forum!
• OUR NEW HQ/SHOP: There's no engagement like face-to-face, and we offer that, too. We've got a streel-level headquarters Downtown, with a retail gift shop of Pittsburgh sports-themed goods, that's open to the public! It's at 224 Fifth Avenue, our hours are 12-6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, and we'll be on hand with a hearty welcome for anyone who stops by! Our merch is also available online!
• SUBSCRIPTIONS: Our content's free, but our community and other perks are exclusive to subscribers. Our two price tiers are $6.99 for a monthly subscription, $59.99 for an annual subscription. Each one gets you absolutely everything.
• TRIAL PERIOD: Want to try us out before committing? Choose the monthly option of $1 for each of the first four months. If you like what you see, don't do a thing, and you'll stay a subscriber at the monthly rate of $6.99. If we aren't for you, just cancel at any point.
• DISCOUNTS: All subscriptions are heavily discounted for high school and college students, as well as seniors 65-plus. That's $19.99 for an annual subscription. Just choose either option when signing up. Also, if you're active-duty or a veteran of any of the U.S. Armed Forces, your one-year subscription is always free. We take care of the active-duty military, and reader contributions take care of the vets. We're proud of this.
