DUQUESNE ATHLETICS

Duquesne's Primo Spears takes the ball to the hole against St. Bonaventure

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Despite multiple comeback attempts, Duquesne couldn't overcome St. Bonaventure and Osun Osunniyi's 21-point, 17-rebound night as the Dukes fell 64-56 Friday night at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Duquesne managed to cut the Bonnies' 16-point lead to three twice in the second half, but alas it was all for naught as they couldn't over come the deficit which was caused in large part due to going nine minutes without a field goal early in the first half. In that span, the Dukes missed 12 consecutive shots.

Now 1-3 in the Atlantic 10, Duquesne did manage to get solid performances from multiple players Friday night. Leading the way was freshman Primo Spears who scored 18 points and six assists. Tre Williams notched his third double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds while also swatting away three St. Bonaventure shots.

Kevin Easley, Jr. added 14 points and nine rebounds while Leon Ayers III added nine points and eight rebounds. The four Dukes mentioned were the only players to find the scoreboard for Duquesne in what was another wildly inconsistent night on The Bluff.
