CRANBERRY, Pa. -- The Penguins made their fourth round of cuts from their training camp roster on Friday morning, reducing the number of players in camp to 29.
Forwards Sam Poulin, Nathan Legare, Filip Hallander and Kasper Bjorkqvist, along with defenseman P.O Joseph were assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Additionally, forwards Valtteri Puustinen and Jonathan Gruden and defensemen Niclas Almari and Taylor Fedun, who were recalled for Thursday's game in Detroit, were all re-assigned to Wilkes-Barre.
After practice, Louis Domingue cleared waivers and was assigned to Wilkes-Barre. Defenseman Juuso Riikola and Michael Chaput both were put on waivers. More on that here.
Wilkes-Barre has two games remaining on its preseason schedule -- Friday at home against Hershey, and Saturday in Lehigh Valley.
The Penguins have just one preseason game remaining -- Saturday in Columbus -- before the season gets underway on Oct. 12 in Tampa, Fla.
