The brother of Steelers defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt has been killed in a hit-and-run incident in suburban Atlanta.
According to a reports out of Atlanta, Richard Bartlett III, 23, was struck by a vehicle along a busy road in Johns Creek, Ga., Wednesday night as he attempted to secure a mattress to a vehicle operated by his girlfriend. Per reports, the vehicle left the scene.
Bartlett is the younger brother of Tuitt, 28, whose family moved from Miami to suburban Atlanta when his mother, Tamara Tuitt-Bartlett secured a job as deputy in the Gwinnett County Sheriff's office.
A second-round draft pick of the Steelers out of Notre Dame in 2014, Tuitt is coming off a career season in which he set career highs in sacks (11) and quarterback hits (25).
