On July 12 it was announced that Domi and the Canadiens had agreed to delay his decision on when to report to camp by 7-10 days because Domi has Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes has the potential to make coronavirus complications worse if the person does contract the virus because elevated blood sugar levels weaken the immune system, making it more difficult to fight off the virus.
Domi is not being made available to speak to media on Monday, but is expected to speak on Tuesday.
