The schedule for the Steelers' preseason was set last week when the NFL released its schedule. Now, we also know when the exact dates and times, as well.
The Steelers released their preseason schedule of dates and times and it includes some pretty quick turnarounds.
The team is slated to play in the Hall of Fame Game Aug. 6 in Canton, Ohio against the Cowboys at 8:20 p.m. That much we knew. What we didn't know is that eight days later, the Steelers will host Tom Brady and the Buccaneers eight days later on Friday, Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Heinz Field.
That game will be followed by the team's longest layoff of the preseason, as they don't play against until hosting the Saints Sunday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m.
Things get tricky after that, as the Steelers will then play their final two preseason games, both on the road and in a span of 11 days.
First comes a trip to New Jersey to play the Jets on Friday. Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Then, the Steelers finish up their preseason six days later on Thursday, Sept. 3 at the Panthers. That game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
Of course, all of this could be subject to change as the NFL continues to work out various plans in case certain areas of the country are working under different rules because of the coronavirus outbreak. But for now, that's the schedule with which the team is working.
