JuJu saved from Instagram hater by ... his mom taken in Greensboro, N.C. (Steelers)

JuJu Smith-Schuster. – MATT SUNDAY / DKPS

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- If you mess with JuJu Smith-Schuster, you mess with the whole family.

Poor Instagram user @my_kids_daddy23 learned that lesson the tough way Tuesday morning.

Here was Smith-Schuster's original post:

Mornings with @MeUndies! ?? #ad

A post shared by JuJu Smith-Schuster (@juju) on

Pretty harmless, right? It's a sponsored post, promoting MeUndies, and it's Smith-Schuster dancing. Pretty standard stuff here (although I will admit: When I first saw the post, I heard the echoes of Mark Madden whispering "This is what it's all about.")

Yet, good ole @my_kids_daddy23 dove in for a little sprinkling of morning hate. Smith-Schuster's mom, Sammy Schuster, wasn't having it:

"How about you put on some pads and take your a** [out] there and play and let's see how you will do?" Schuster wrote, punctuating the statement with a facepalm emoji. "Love him when he's doing good and hate on him when he is faced with adversity. Hope nobody talks [expletive] about [your] kids. People like you is what's wrong with this world. If you don't have anything good to say ... Shut the F**k up!!!! Period."

I personally enjoy how she alternates between censoring herself and simply letting the expletives fly. That's a fired-up mom, friends.

And she has a point.

Smith-Schuster disappointed during his 2019 campaign with the Steelers, his first year as the team's No. 1 wide receiver following the departure of Antonio Brown. He posted career lows in receptions (42), yards (552) and touchdowns (3) while playing in just 12 games due to injury (also a career low).

But calling him a bust for one injury-plagued season that, oh by the way, featured a revolving door of Mason Rudolph and Devlin "Duck" Hodges at quarterback? That's too far. The entire Steelers offense struggled last season, and Smith-Schuster was statistically the best Steelers receiver of all-time through two seasons.

Entering Year 4, Smith-Schuster certainly has plenty to prove.

And you better believe Mama Schuster will be cheering him on all the way.
