Larmi shares message from DeSmith after loss taken in Columbus, Ohio (Penguins)

Casey DeSmith, Emil Larmi. - MATT SUNDAY / DKPS

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Emil Larmi, one of the Penguins' goaltending prospects, hadn't played for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in more than a month. He had a scare Oct. 25 when he started to pass out during an intermission in his third start of the AHL season, a moment he spoke more about in this one-on-one interview with our site.

Friday night in Allentown, Pa., he returned for a game against Lehigh Valley and looked like he needed some time to get back into form, stopping just 20 of 26 shots as the Penguins fell in overtime, 6-5, to the Phantoms.

After the game, Larmi shared a screenshot on Twitter of the texts he got from one of his goalie partners, Casey DeSmith:

EMIL LARMI

"Being with Casey, he has helped a lot," Larmi told me last week. "He's such a good guy and a good goalie. I think I can call him a friend, we are spending a lot of time together. He's helping me as a goalie and as a person."
