The Steelers defeated the Patriots, 17-10, Sunday at Heinz Field — and the world watched it all go down.
According to the Globe's Chad Finn, the hotly anticipated AFC showdown brought in the highest ratings of any NFL game this season.
Patriots-Steelers on CBS was the highest-rated NFL game of the season on any network with a 16.5/32 average household rating/share. Boston was the second-highest-rated market with a 41.9/65. Pittsburgh was first.

It's a recurring theme for these two teams.
In Week 15 last season, the Patriots defeated the Steelers in dramatic fashion, 27-24, pulling in the highest overnight rating of the season.
Ditto for 2015, when the two teams squared off in Week 1 and posted the second-highest rating ever for an NFL Kickoff game, trailing only the 2010 matchup between the returning Super Bowl champion Saints and the Vikings.
