Nat Berhe didn't have to scramble to look for another job. In fact, he didn't even have to leave Pittsburgh.
The safety and special teams ace was re-signed by the Steelers on Sunday, a day after he was among 43 players released during the NFL's roster cutdown day. As expected, the latter move was just procedural.
The 27-year-old announced his re-signing via Twiter:
C’mon guys, you thought I was gone? Signed. ???✅?

To make room for Berhe on the roster, rookie linebacker Ola Adeniyi was placed on injured reserve.
Adeniyi, an undrafted player out of Toledo, led the Steelers in sacks in the preseason with three but suffered a hamstring injury last Thursday in the finale against Carolina. The move to place him on IR means the Steelers have just three outside linebackers on their active roster.
Keion Adams and Farrington Huguenin were both signed to the practice squad Sunday and one will likely be activated before Sunday's opener at Cleveland.
With Berhe back in tow, the Steelers now have six safeties on the roster, along with Sean Davis, Terrell Edmunds, Jordan Dangerfield and Marcus Allen
Berhe signed a one-year, $790,000 contract with the Steelers in April after playing the previous three seasons with the New York Giants, the team that selected him in the fifth round of the 2014 draft.
He had three tackles and one sack in New York but carved a niche for himself on special teams. He played just 40 snaps on defense in 2017 but 267 on special teams, second-most on the Giants.
